Contract Lawyers

Introduction

For the last ten years, OnPoint has been providing top-quality research, analysis, and writing services to lawyers in both the private and public sectors. Whether the project requires a few cases to support a legal proposition, a memorandum, or a factum, we complete research requests to our clients' specifications and within stipulated time constraints.

Our research lawyers are well versed with both traditional research sources and the latest in research technology. They are academics -- all of our research lawyers graduated at the top of their law classes, and many completed a clerkship in B.C. or Alberta. In addition, they have all had the benefit of obtaining essential practice experience as lawyers with major downtown law firms.

Our research lawyers possess diverse legal backgrounds, enabling us to handle projects of any size on any issue. We work closely with our clients to ensure that we have a definite understanding of the scope of the project, the specific issues involved, and the perimeters of the desired end product.

Our low overhead allows us to set very reasonable rates. Many of our clients view us as a profit centre. They consider using our services as equivalent to adopting work completed by in-house associates, and add a premium for their firm when invoicing their clients.

While our research lawyers are located in Vancouver, they have the skills, experience and resources to conduct research for lawyers across Canada.

Welcome New Associate, Efrat Arbel

We are pleased to announce the addition of Efrat Arbel to our team.  With her remarkable background and outstanding achievements, she is an asset to both divisions of OnPoint.

Efrat graduated at the top of her UBC Law Class in 2004. After clerking at the British Columbia Supreme Court, she articled and practised at Fasken Martineau in general litigation. She then went on to attend Harvard Law School, where she is now a Doctoral Candidate (expected June 2011).
